Master Park was gifted to “the inhabitants of the Parish of Oxted and their friends” in 1923.
The park has evolved with the times while remaining true to its purpose: to serve the local community.
Today, Master Park is an independent charity, governed and cared for by trustees and volunteers. It is an open green space for rest, relaxation and fresh air, home to three sports clubs, a playground, and a popular setting for local events.
A Century of Community
For over 100 years, our 11-acres of green space has run on the goodwill, skills and time of loyal volunteers. From fundraising and governance to practical maintenance and everyday care, volunteers help keep Master Park welcoming, well-run and looking its best.
In 2025, The Hub on Master Park opened its doors with a new building in the heart of the park, and this, too, depends on trustees and volunteers to help it thrive.
